It’s a new week and as all new weeks come with good intentions, I bring you a smoothie. An extremely green smoothie at that. Don’t be put off though, it tastes delicious, and the (not so) hidden spinach in there will do your body good without you even noticing you’re drinking a vegetable!
My weekend was a much needed recharge, after a rather stressful week, and was filled with lots of food (always), long walks (which resulted in my being slightly afraid for my life), shopping (pay day weekend) and a nostalgic concert (McFly!).
Here are my highlights…
Much to my annoyance I woke up at 7:30am on Saturday morning. After a failed attempt at going back to sleep I took the hint from the sun streaming through the cracks in my blinds and went for a walk.

Smoothie time! One of my favourite things about smoothies is how quick they are to put together. That, and how good you feel about yourself for being all healthy, and can totally earn yourself some pancakes to wash the smoothie down with…
You can blitz your ingredients in a blender, smoothie maker or do what I do and use a jug and a hand blender – it’s perfect if you’re ust making smoothies for one or two and is a breeze to clean up.
makes 1 large glass
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1/2 banana (frozen would be good too)
1 big handful of spinach, washed
juice of 1/2 lime
Put all the ingredients into a blender/jug and blitz until smooth.
