Happy Halloween – Spooky Shortbread

This is a recipe I shared a few weeks ago on Sweet Society, for Orange Shortbread with Cinnamon Icing, which I have tweaked slightly to turn in to fun Halloween themed biscuits.

They are really easy and a lot of fun to make!  I have to say the piping was a little trickier than I expected, especially for the spiderwebs, but I like the way they turned out in the end.  Have a great Halloween everyone!

Mid-week Moment

1/ Great British Bake Off Finale// This was my set up for watching the final on Tuesday!  Sad to see the series end, I will miss the weekly comedy from Mel and Sue, but Frances’ wedding cake was really awesome.

2/Blue concert// Spur of the moment plans to go relive our youth and go see Blue.  They were really good, and are surprisingly good dancers, even if Duncan James is a little cringey!

3/Halloween Party// I absolutely adore these sparkly fang place holders, which are part of the Olive Dragonfly Blog’s Halloween party guide.  Looks like you’re going to have a great night guys!

4/More pumpkin recipes// Joy’s blog is a constant source of bakery inspiration for me, every recipe on there I wanna rush to the kitchen to bake.  These Pumpkin Pecan Scones are definitely on the weekend ‘must bake’ list.
