Hi blog readers! You may, or may not, have noticed that I’ve taken a little leave of absence over the past couple of weeks. This is mainly because I was down on a wee holiday to London last week but this week I am preparing for a Christmas fair so I have been baking up a storm but sadly without any time for photographing or recipe writing!
So instead of a new recipe I’m going to share with you some photos of what I’ve been filling my days with recently.
Christmas macarons for my Ever So Sweet homebakery.
I’m all in with the Christmas baking. I know, I know! It’s way too early but I have to be prepared for orders and food fairs (that’s my excuse anyway!)
A beautiful day out for a friends birthday.
Trying out some new product ideas. Cookie mix in a box? Delicious ingredients, just mix is all up and you’ve got delicious cookies. Possibly as a subscription – monthly, or once every three months – would you be in to it?
London, baby! I was down for a few days to watch some tennis at the O2 arena, which is a brilliant venue for tennis so it’s always a fun day out. Unfortunately my tennis love Rafael Nadal couldn’t complete and the much anticipated match between Federer and Murray was better forgotten as quickly as possible!
We stayed in Greenwich for the first time which was perfect for the O2 and it’s such a lovely part of town.
There was also a little shopping. Christmas decorations in Fortnum & Mason, macarons from Laduree, Christmas list making in J Crew and book browsing in Foyles – where I picked up a copy of Joy the Bakers new cookbook, I love it already!
The poppies at the Tower of London were a definite highlight. It is such a great idea and starts to put the number of people who died in the first world war in to perspective.
Our flight was very nearly redirected 200 miles south because of the fog but thankfully we made it to Inverness on time and I had time to watch The Vampire Diaries when I got in – priorities!!
